In 1994 Frank Lavery left the managing partnership of a regional office of a law firm with over 300 attorneys to pursue a notion. He believed that a smaller, more agile organization could provide the service that clients deserve - in a cost effective manner.

By consolidating resources and assembling a strong team of attorneys experienced in defined areas of expertise, the law firm of Lavery, Faherty, Young & Patterson was established to provide defense representation for insurers, self-insureds, local governments and individuals. Limiting the areas of practice has allowed us to operate with a leaner, more committed approach to litigation.

In our first decade of existence, Lavery, Faherty, Young & Patterson successfully represented clients from diverse areas of business and government with experienced, cost-effective defense strategies that have resulted in, literally, hundreds of favorable resolutions.
