Joseph C. Patterson is a shareholder of Lavery, Faherty, Young and Patterson. Mr. Patterson's primary practice is in the field of workers' compensation defense.

Mr. Patterson formerly served as a Deputy District Attorney for Dauphin County. He also has considerable experience in appellate advocacy. Mr. Patterson has lectured to employers, insurance companies and third-party administrators concerning a variety of workers' compensation issues.

He previously served as a committee member for Pennsylvania's Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission, where he assisted in developing a training program designed to instruct law enforcement officers on the appropriate application of force.

Mr. Patterson is a graduate of the Catholic University of America, where he received a Bachelor's degree, cum laude, and the award for outstanding major in economics. He received his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law.
