James D. Young is a shareholder of Lavery, Faherty, Young and Patterson.  His primary practice is in the field of civil rights. Mr. Young has considerable jury trial experience and has practiced extensively in the areas of civil rights, employment law, municipal liability, appellate advocacy, premises liability, vehicular negligence and other personal injury matters.

While in law school, he was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and the Labor Law Moot Court Team. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Young completed a judicial clerkship in the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, with the Honorable John C. Dowling.

Mr. Young is a graduate of Northwestern University. He received his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law and was awarded the Order of the Barrister.
